[ Plot ]





Set several years before the original Bubblegum Crisis, This trio of disturbing cases, focusing on rookie Leon McNichol and his partner, Jeena Malso, challenge what it truly means to be human, what it truly means to be a machine, and how truly thin the border between humanity and machines is. In Vol. 1: The Phantom Woman, Jeena and Leon investigate the circumstances behind the death of a fellow AD Policeman, and Leon is stalked by a boomer who he had destroyed long ago... In Vol. 2: The Ripper, a series of grotesque prostitute murders, committed by a woman who has given up her humanity for her work, are investigated by a woman who is contemplating the loss of her own. And Vol. 3: The Man Who Bites His Tongue, deals with the near death of a police officer, and subsequent transformation into a Robocop-like cyborg, bereft of all but the very last parts of humanity, the only way he can keep his mind focused is to inflict pain upon himself, the only human sensation he has left.





[ Trama ]





Spinoff della serie Bubblegum Crisis, questi tre OAV si concentrano sulla AD Police, forza dell'ordine del futuro, spostando il periodo d'azione a qualche anno prima dell'entrata in scena delle Knight Sabers. Il protagonista della serie è Leon McNichol, giovane agente alle prese con casi sempre più complicati. Nel primo episodio Leon dovrà vedersela con una prostituta, che è diventata assassina dei propri clienti. Nel secondo la città è minacciata da un novello "Jack lo squartatore", mentre nel terzo si narra la storia di un poliziotto ucciso, il cui cervello viene trapiantato in un corpo completamente meccanico.

A.D.POLICEに勤める佐々木健児は、刑事としての腕前は一流だが他人とのチームワークが苦手で、しばしば相棒を事故に巻き込ませたり、同僚とトラブルを起こしていた。今回も相棒であるポールが仕事中に重症の怪我を負い、人知れず失意の中にいた健児だったが、突然ドイツの警察本部から異動してきたハンスとペアを組まされることになり…。
